Fit and supervision matter

Wheel diameter alone does not confirm fit. Check rear-axle type and exposed thread, mounting width, bracket shape, drivetrain and frame clearance. Follow the bicycle and training-wheel manufacturers' instructions; some bikes do not permit training wheels. A competent adult should fit and inspect them. Always supervise children and use a fitted helmet; training wheels do not prevent every fall. Bicycle not included.
